What to Expect During Treatment

The penetrating light from the laser may feel warm on the body, and may patients find the soothing, warming sensation to be very relaxing.  The therapeutic effects of Cold Laser Therapy continue to work within your body even after your treatment session is complete.

It is important to know that Cold Laser Therapy has been shown to have a cumulative effect, meaning that it requires a series of treatments for the laser to be able to do its job, with each session building upon the one before.  While some patients feel immediate relief after just a few treatments, for most the response is more subtle and gradual.

How Does Cold Laser Therapy Work?

The light energy from the laser stimulates healing within your body through a series of biological changes at the cellular level.

Speeds Tissue Repair and Cell Growth - Accelerates cellular reproduction and growth by starting DNA and RNA repairs inside of the cells.  Cells of cartilage, bones, tendons, ligaments, nerves and muscles are repaired faster as a result of exposure to laser light.

Softens Scar Tissue - Softens existing scar tissue and reduces the formation of new scar tissue following tissue damage.  This is important because after an injury, the body heals with a tight, fibrous network of scar tissue.  Scar tissue is less elastic, has poor circulation, is sensitive to pain, is weaker, and is much more prone to re-injury.  Cold Laser can soften scar tissue so that the doctor can work with the tissue to lengthen the fibers enabling more movement and mobility.

Relieves Pain - Reduces pain by increasing the production of pain killing chemicals, such as endorphins and enkephalins, from the brain and adrenal gland.

Resets Chronic Pain Cycle - Chronic pain signals are actually memorized in the nerve switching stations in the body called interneurons.  For example, pain that is felt in the knee is memorized in the interneurons near the spinal cord.  The laser light reaches into the interneurons to reset that pain memory.  It doesn't erase it completely but it acts as an analgesic to suppress the nerve signals that transmit the sensation of pain to the brain.

Reduces Swelling - Provides an anti-inflammatory effect, as it causes vasodilation (expansion of the blood vessels) and activation of the lymphatic drainage system.  As a result, there is a reduction in swelling caused by stress, trauma, overuse, or systemic conditions.

Improves Blood Flow - Improves vascular activity and increases the formation of new capillaries (angiogenesis) in damaged tissues.  This enables the body to deliver more oxygen and other vital nutrients to the treated area to speed healing.

Improves Nerve Function - Accelerates the process of nerve cell regeneration and improves the communication between the nerves and the brain.

UNDERSTANDING LASER THERAPY

Some patients find it easier to understand laser therapy by comparing it to photosynthesis.  In school, we learned that during photosynthesis, plants convert light energy from the sun into chemical energy to fuel growth.  In a similar manner, the body converts laser light energy into chemical energy to fuel cell growth and healing.

Our Services

Every cell in your body is made up of energy. When we went to school we learned that you can take a microscope and look at an atom. As you increase the power of the microscope the atom disappears. That's because the atom itself is energy. Einstein proved it with his theories, Tesla proved it with his theories, Rife proved it with his. What this means is, every cell in your body is made up of energy and oscillates at a very specific frequency. As our bodies are exposed to constant frequencies (radio, microwave, cell towers, wireless routers, smart meters and so on) our cells have started to oscillate at lower (slower) frequencies. This is where cellular breakdown and disease begin. RIFE and BioCharger technology  increase the frequency of your cells (speed them up) and cause them to release whatever toxin, bacteria or parasite the cells were holding on to. As these machines increase the frequency of oscillation they immediately stimulate stem cell growth and DNA repair.

This technology has been around since the early 1900's. It has been praised as the "Medicine Of The Future" but because there was no money in "curing" disease, the Drug & Pharmaceutical companies tried to discredit and destroy the technology, literature and the inventors themselves. The bad news is that it stopped production in the mid 1900's. The GREAT news is that we have again today!

Laser Therapy is different

It is a non-invasive, drug-free approach that treats the underlying cause of pain by actually repairing damaged cells.

The laser used at our office is purchased in the U.K., and provides twice the penetrating strength of similar models built and sold in the U.S.  This allows us to reach deeper into cellular tissue, and treat surrounding tissues to provide longer lasting results for our patients.

Is it safe?

YES!  Laser therapy is FDA approved for treating pain.  It has been used in Europe since the 1970s and has been trusted by the elite athletes around the world to accelerate recovery.  Laser therapy has no known side effects when used by a properly trained professional.

SECTION ONE – Royal Raymond Rife

Royal Raymond Rife was a brilliant scientist born in 1888 and died in 1971. After studying at Johns Hopkins, Rife developed technology which is still commonly used today in the fields of optics, electronics, radiochemistry, biochemistry, ballistics, and aviation. It is a fair statement that Rife practically developed bioelectric medicine himself. He received 14 major awards and honors and was given an honorary Doctorate by the University of Heidelberg for his work. During the 66 years that Rife spent designing and building medical instruments, he worked for Zeiss Optics, the U.S. Government, and several private benefactors. Most notable was millionaire Henry Timkin, of Timkin roller bearing fame. Timken was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame on September 19, 1998.

Hako Med Therapy

The Hako Med therapy works specifically on a chemical produced in the human body known as Cyclic Adenosine Monophosphate (cAMP). This chemical is responsible for the transmission of pain signals. Research has demonstrated that intracellular cAMP is depleted after being subjected to 4,000 Hz of electrical energy at adequate voltage. Electrical treatment at 1 volt and a frequency of 4,000 Hz over a period of 3 minutes showed a 28 percent depletion of the available cyclic AMP. This effectively will block 28% of the pain in just 3 minutes with a complete nerve pain block happening in 8-12 minutes (1). Hako Med Therapy provides all the benefits of traditional steroid injection therapy without the risks. The only contraindication is patient’s with electrical implanted devices may not qualify, however we have tested patients with pacemakers and found no conflict with frequencies over 4,000 Hz.

Putting different frequencies into the body can have different effects.  At certain frequencies we can cause vasoconstriction, which reduces swelling, similar to icing the area.  At another frequency we can induce vasodilation, or the opening of blood vessels, to reduce edema and enhance circulation.

Research has shown that if you can expose a nerve to frequencies above 1000 or above its normal firing pattern, you get a biochemical reaction, rather than just a mechanical one.  The mechanical reaction is what you get with normal electrical modalities below 100 Hz, where you just get a vibration of the nerves and muscle contractions.

With the Hako Med, we can produce frequencies up to 20,000 Hz.  And believe me...that's impressive.  But the really cool feature of the Hako Med is that it allows us to cycle between frequencies, which allows us to provide the patients with a wide range of different frequencies.

What this means is that we can use this technology to increase the membrane permeability to increase the sodium/potassium influx and heal the nerve, or we can use it to relax muscles, or even to help bone and cartilage to heal - even promoting increased bone density with osteoporosis.

Chiropractic Knee Adjustments

The tibia is the large bone that sits below the knee.  It has a tendency to shift posterior, either medially (inner knee) or laterally (outer knee), or both.  Dr. Filippini tests to see how the knee joint sets, and then by applying quick forces to the back of the tibia, resets the joint and golgi tendon apparatus, which is responsible for the tightness or spasm of the muscle.  This usually gives instant relief, or decreased knee pain in most cases.

Doctor Grade Nutraceuticals (herbal mixtures)

It is a common belief that joint cartilage or vertebral fibrocartilage cannot regenerate or regrow and any damage to the cartilage will be permanent.  Actually, cartilaginous tissues can be regenerated.  However, regeneration is much slower than degeneration as people age due to a decrease in microcirculation of the synovial lining resulting in decreased nutrient supply to the avascular cartilage.

A combination of herbs works synergistically to increase local blood flow and microcirculation in order to enhance nutrient supply and cellular activity for tissue regeneration.  The herbs also increase local lymphatic circulation and stimulate the immune system to clear waste and cellular debris effectively.  They open the smallest blood vessels to enhance whole body circulation and accelerate healing.  The enhanced microcirculation also improves nutrient absorption from the digestive tract to assist in healing and combat the aging process.

  • PEMF increases spin of the electron replenishing cell membrane potential (difference in electrical potential between interior and exterior of the cell)
  • PEMF recharges batteries: interacts with the Sodium/Potassium pump (helps maintain cell energy and regulate cellular volume) and "boosts" it.

FDA-Approved, Non-Invasive, Drug-Free Therapy

Cold Laser Therapy is an FDA-approved treatment that is unique in its ability to penetrate through the bone, soft tissue, and muscle to deliver healing light energy to the cells of the body.  Cold Laser can reduce pain, minimize swelling, soften scar tissue, and reset the pain cycle-all while healing damaged tissues at the cellular level.

A Different Treatment Approach

There are a variety of options for treating acute and chronic pain.  Pain medications and spinal injections may provide temporary comfort, but they do nothing to address the root cause of the pain.  Once the medication wears off, the pain returns.  They can also be accompanied by serious side effects including other health problems, depression, and addiction.  Surgery is expensive, carries its own set of major risks, recovery can last for weeks or months, and the success rates are not as high as you might expect.
